OBITUARY
W. A. Selden was born in Sweden, April 29, 1854, and died at Long Pine, August 27, 1910, aged 55 years, 3 months and 28 days.

Mr. Selden came to Brown county over thirty years ago and for a number of years was engaged in the tailoring business at Long Pine, Chadron and Norfolk. For the past eight years he had made his home on his ranch in this county a few miles southeast of Long Pine, but this spring had sold the ranch and moved to town. He was specially well known in this county having faithfully served the county as commissioner for one term.

Deceased had been in poor health for the past fifteen years, but up to the time of his death he was able to be around and had made arrangements to again spend the winter in Arizona for his health. On the morning of August 27 he was seized with a fit of coughing and a choking sensation from which he was unable to rally. The cause of his death was acute asthma, causing dialation of the heart.

He leaves to mourn his death, a wife, and five children, A. L. Selden of Hamilton, Mont., Waldo Selden of Winkleman, Ariz., and Will, Alice and Lawrence of Long Pine.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Long Pine Sunday afternoon, August 28. and the attendance was one of the largest ever witnessed in that vicinity. Mr. Selden left his family well provided for due to his thrift and
foresight.
