Charles H. Apell

Charles H. Apell, 79 year old retired railroad flagman, died about 6:30 a. m. Saturday as the result of a stroke suffered at his home. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in an ambulance but was dead upon arrival.

Mr, Apell lived at 1305 W. Grove St. and was retired from the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Railroad.

He was taken to the Beek Memorial Home where his funeral will be held at 1:30 p. m. Monday. The Rev. Robert Fitts will officiate, Burial will be in Park Hill
Cemetery.

Mr. Apell was born Oct. 19, 1879, in Sweden, a son of Charles and Sophia Johnson Apell. .He married: Maggie W. Ault on Feb. 15, 1906, at McKeesport, Pa.

Surviving are his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Saunders, 1507 Fell Ave.; and Mrs. Katie’ Pickering, 610 W. Washington St., and one brother, Leonard A., 1405 N, Beech St., Nornial.

Mr, Apell was a snesebiin of the West Olive Street Methodist Church,
